TGIF
Oh this blog...I am having a hard time learning how to work this thing. Everyone has cute backgrounds and pages. How do you do all that? Seems like I didn't have any problem at all figuring out Myspace or facebook...but this seems a little more challenging. Maybe I haven't really played on it enough. So I was really sick this week. I felt horrible on Tuesday but came to work anyway. The poor kids...they never pick up on things like teachers feeling bad. Im in perfect health to them. So they just thought I was extra grouchy that day. I ended up staying home on Wednesday. I slept the entire day away. I could barely pull my self out of bed to go to the bathroom and get a drink. Then yesterday I had a workshop. So I was gone from school for two days. I feel much better today though. Whoever said you cant beat a sickness without antibiotics was wrong. Really I just didn't feel well enough to take myself to the doctor. So I get back to school today...not that I, myself, was overly excited to be here...but then the kids come in with a disgusted look and say "oh...you're back." Yep, Im back. Glad you are excited about that. Then my class asks me...where have you been, you were gone all week...two days is a really long time for a teacher to be out...fyi. My AP classes informed me that they liked the sub better than me...to which I responded that I wish she could be their teacher as well...haha. They say sarcasm is bad for teachers to use...but I don't believe it. My other classes wanted to know exactly how drunk I got to not be able to come to school. Then another teacher and I began to laugh about how teachers have to be pretty confident people because this job does nothing for your confidence. So I am going to start a collection of things that happen that show the harsh atmosphere teachers work in. It should be pretty enertaining. Anyway, I am glad it is Friday. Besides the mountain of papers left on my desk, the kids are especially wound up today. Every week is one week closer to summer. Til next time...

ReplyDeleteHahaha...let Amy help you on how to work this thing. It took me awhile too! You are a great teacher and don't let those kids tell you otherwise. It's like when we were young and were told that the boys were picking on us b/c they really liked us; that's what they are doing with you. Playing hard to get!!! hahaha...seriously though.
ReplyDeleteMissy! I just found your blog...I think through Katie's...and I'm excited to keep up with you and your stories. Check ya later...
